Person Centered Services
C.A.R.E.S. Inc.
C.A.R.E.S., Inc. is a family organization that was founded in 2013 by sisters Sheila Davison-Bray and Lori Miller which led to the beginning of our Lifesharing Program in December 2013 followed by the opening of the first all-inclusive, Community Based Day Program in February 2014. Today, C.A.R.E.S., Inc. has expanded to C.A.R.E.S. of Western PA and C.A.R.E.S. of Central PA operating fifteen (15) all-inclusive, Community Based Day Programs. We offer 6 different types of services across 16 counties in Pennsylvania.
C.A.R.E.S. provides person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We specialize in connecting our self-advocating VIP’s (participants) with opportunities to be family focused, self-determined, individualized, person centered, and strength based. We optimize their opportunities for community participation and inclusion, growth, independence and job readiness all through our all-inclusive day programs as well as providing an opportunity for long-term support from caring families and individuals within our Lifesharing program.
At C.A.R.E.S. the participants are the VIP’s!
The mission of C.A.R.E.S. is to provide high quality services and supports that maximize each individual’s potential, opportunities, relationships, community involvement, as well as their health and wellness. Our vision is to create community‐based services empowering individuals by creating an environment where the individual’s rights and culture are recognized and respected with services that are self‐determined, person centered, and family focused.
